Your Poshmark Questions Answered!
Between talking to clients and spending time in reseller groups and on Reddit, I encounter a lot of the same questions over and over. These Questions Answered! posts will serve to address these.
How can I increase sales on Poshmark?
Increasing sales on Poshmark comes down to visibility, pricing accuracy, and buyer confidence.
To increase sales:
Use clear, keyword-rich titles that match how buyers search (brand + item type + key attributes).
Price competitively based on recent sold comps, not current listings.
Keep listings fresh through consistent sharing and occasional relisting.
Reduce buyer hesitation with clear photos, honest condition notes, and complete descriptions. This includes adding important information such as measurements and item condition (as well as clearly and accurately disclosing any flaws)
Sales improve when your listings are easy to find and easy to trust.
Why do I have likes but no sales on Poshmark?
Likes without sales usually mean interest without urgency.
Common reasons include:
Your price is higher than comparable sold listings.
Buyers are waiting for an offer or price drop.
Shipping costs push the total price above what feels “worth it.”
The item is appealing but not currently in season or in demand.
Likes are a signal, but they don’t guarantee intent. Converting likes into sales often requires strategic offers, pricing adjustments, or timing, not more sharing.
Important note: It is common for higher-priced luxury items to receive likes without immediate sales. Many buyers use the like button as a way to bookmark aspirational purchases or save items they’re considering for a future date.
Why is it so hard to get sales on Poshmark?
Poshmark feels difficult when sellers confuse activity with strategy.
Sales slow down when:
Listings aren’t aligned with what buyers are actively searching for.
Pricing doesn’t reflect current market demand.
Closets rely on sharing alone instead of optimization.
Inventory skews toward oversaturated or low-demand items.
Poshmark isn’t hard — it’s competitive. Sellers who treat it like a searchable marketplace (not just a social app) see more consistent results.
Is Poshmark dead?
No — Poshmark is not dead. But selling strategies from 2018 are.
What’s changed:
More sellers = more competition.
Buyers search more intentionally.
Visibility favors clear, relevant listings, not just volume.
Sellers struggling today often need updated pricing logic, better keyword alignment, and smarter inventory choices, not a new platform.
